Canterlot Mall

The Canterlot Mall is a location in My Little Pony Equestria Girls. It is a large shopping mall frequented by Canterlot High students.

Equestria Girls: Dance Magic[]

In Dance Magic, Rarity window-shops at the Canterlot Mall to find inspiration for the Equestria Girls' fundraiser to make reparations for Camp Everfree. She learns of the Canterlot Mall's Chance to Prance Competition with a cash prize for dance music videos and learns that Sour Sweet, Sugarcoat, Sunny Flare and Lemon Zest of Crystal Prep Academy are also competing to raise funds to have their spring dance on a yacht. After convincing the other members of the Rainbooms to invest their accumulated funds into costume supplies for her music video concept, she returns to the Mall to buy the materials and finds the Crystal Prep students rehearsing for their own video, having stolen her video concept. Eventually, Rarity and her friends decide to join forces as the "Crystal Rainbooms" to film the Dance Magic music video, which wins the contest, and allowing the two groups to win the contest, split the prize money and achieve their goals. After watching the video at the mall, the Crystal Rainbooms decide to celebrate with smoothies and Rarity offers to have the Rainbooms perform at the Crystal Prep dance.

Equestria Girls: Mirror Magic[]

In Mirror Magic, Juniper Montage gets a job as an usher at the Canterlot Mall's movie theater on the day of the premiere for the Daring Do film, harboring resentment for the Equestria Girls after they get her kicked off the set of her uncle's set during the film's production. She procures a hand mirror enchanted by Equestrian magic from a sunglasses kiosk in which she sees herself as a famous actress. She soon discovers it has the power to teleport things inside, and uses it against the Equestria Girls as revenge as they arrive at the movie theater. After using it on Sunset Shimmer, Juniper transforms into a she-demon having delusions as an actress in the mirror and goes on a rampage inside the Mall, causing patrons to hide. Sunset's new friend Starlight Glimmer eventually knocks the mirror out of her hand and convinces her to let the Equestria Girls out of the mirror just before the mirror world inside shatters. Juniper becomes remorseful and transforms back into her normal self.

Equestria Girls: Summertime Shorts[]

In Pet Project, the Equestria Girls organize a charity calendar shoot of their pets at the Canterlot Animal Shelter inside the mall, and Sunset decides to adopt a leopard gecko named Ray. In Shake Things Up!, Applejack works at a juice bar in the Canterlot Mall food court where she mixes new, original drinks which attracts several customers. In The Canterlot Movie Club, the Cutie Mark Crusaders go to the mall's movie theater to watch the Daring Do movie and briefly get sidetracked trying to retrieve Pinkie Pie's stuffed alligator Gummy from the theater's claw game. In Epic Fails, Rainbow Dash recalls her most embarasing moment while working at a sporting goods store at the mall, accidentally knocking down a pyramid of soccer balls. In Good Vibes, Flash Sentry helps Trixie with her magic supplies at the mall, causing a domino effect of good deeds being paid forward to many other characters inside the mall.

Equestria Girls: Digital Series (season 1)[]

In A Fine Line, Sunset Shimmer waits with her friends in a long line to the video game store at the Canterlot Mall for the Tirek's Revenge video game. Upon arriving she finds that it is sold out, but learns that Pinkie Pie already pre-ordered it for her. In Overpowered, Zephyr Breeze asks Rainbow Dash out on a date at the mall, but Rainbow walks away without accepting.

Equestria Girls: Rollercoaster of Friendship[]

In Rollercoaster of Friendship, Rarity and Applejack wait in the mall's food court with their friends for the results of their job applications as "caramel apple girls" at the new Equestria Land theme park. Applejack reveals to have quit her job at the juice bar, which is now staffed by Bulk Biceps. While Applejack is rejected, Rarity is found to be overqualified and instead gets a job as lead costume designer.

Equestria Girls: Holidays Unwrapped[]

In "Winter Break-In", the Equestria Girls participate in the Toys for Kids festival at the Canterlot Mall, distributing presents to children. In "Dashing Through The Mall", the Equestria Girls have their "secret present switcheroo" at the mall, but as Rainbow Dash forgot about it, she rushes through the mall to find a present for Fluttershy. Finding that most of the stores have long lines, she eventually arrives at a store called "Trend of the Line" staffed by Zephyr Breeze, who lets her jump the line and shows her several products, none of which she finds acceptable for Fluttershy. Zephyr eventually shows her an instant camera, which Rainbow agrees to buy, and she returns to her friends' table at the mall where they have their gift exchange.
