Golden Hazel is the placeholder name for a female human who is a background character in the My Little Pony Equestria Girls franchise. She is a drama student at Canterlot High School.

In Equestria Girls, Golden Hazel first appears in the crowd of students suddenly filling the Canterlot High School Hallway after the bell rings. During This Strange World, she appears listening to Indigo Wreath give a soliloquy with Watermelody. She later appears sitting with the other dramas in the cafeteria. The next day, she along with other dramas, laugh at Twilight Sparkle as she walks by them in the hallway, and later appears in the cafeteria during the Cafeteria song. On the day of the Canterlot High Fall Formal, she appear in the gymnasium after it is cleaned up. Later that night, she attends the Fall Formal where she and the other students are hypnotized by Sunset Shimmer before being freed by Twilight and her new friends. She later watches as Twilight is named Princess of the Fall Formal and watches as she dances awkwardly when the Formal resumes.

Equestria Girls: Rainbow Rocks[]

In Rainbow Rocks, Golden Hazel first appears working on a poster for the CHS Musical Showcase in the gym with Norman. During Better Than Ever, she appears walking in the hallway with Mystery Mint. During Battle, she appears in the cafeteria as the Dazzlings begin hypnotizing the students. During the Showcase, she watches the Battle of the Bands as a member of a band with fellow dramas Watermelody and Indigo Wreath. She and the other students jeer when the Rainbooms make it to the final round over Trixie and the Illusions. She later spectates the final round of the Battle of the Bands, where she and the other audience members are brainwashed by the Dazzlings before getting freed by the Rainbooms.

Rainbow Rocks animated shorts[]

In Music to My Ears, Golden Hazel and Thunderbass begin walking with DJ Pon-3 in the CHS hallway before they walk into Cranky Doodle's classroom. In Player Piano, she appears standing in a crowd of students near the Wondercolt statue and later appears in the crowd of students crowding the CHS hallway standing with the other dramas. In Shake Your Tail!, she attends the Rainbooms' concert in the gym. In Perfect Day for Fun, she makes several background appearances attending the CHS carnival, often accompanied by Captain Planet. In the encore short Life is a Runway, she appears standing on a sidewalk with Nolan North and watches Rarity give a makeover to Cheerilee. She later appears as a silhouette in the audience during the fashion runway sequence.

Equestria Girls: Friendship Games[]

In Friendship Games, Golden Hazel first appears using a computer in the CHS library. She later appears in the school gym attending the pep rally and later the Crystal Prep Academy welcome party. During the first day of the Friendship Games, she appears using a computer in the library during Vice Principal Luna's announcement, and later appears as a spectator for the second and third events. Near the end of the film, she appears talking to Indigo Wreath near the destroyed Wondercolt statue.

In All's Fair in Love & Friendship Games, Golden Hazel appears in the crowd of students surrounding the bulletin board looking at the list containing the roster for the Friendship Games.

In Legend of Everfree, Golden Hazel appears attending the Crystal Gala fundraiser for Camp Everfree.

Equestria Girls: Dance Magic[]

In Dance Magic, Golden Hazel makes a background appearance walking in the Canterlot Mall with Watermelody and later appears standing by the mall's fountain listening to Rose Heart.

Equestria Girls: Mirror Magic[]

In Mirror Magic, Golden Hazel makes background appearances standing at the Canterlot Mall movie theater with Scott Green, standing at a shop in the mall's food court with Nolan North, walking outside Canterlot High with Photo Finish, and walking near a sunglasses kiosk at the mall.

In A Photo Booth Story, Golden Hazel briefly appears attending the CHS Fall Formal. In Raise This Roof, she appears dancing at the Fall Formal, appears in the background watching the dance-off, and cheering when Apple Bloom and Scootaloo are given a trophy. In Monday Blues, she makes a background appearance walking by the Sweet Shoppe holding an umbrella in the rain. In Shake Things Up!, she appears in a line for Applejack's juice bar at the Canterlot Mall food court. In Epic Fails, she makes a background appearance sitting in the CHS cafeteria. In Coinky-Dink World, she appears as a patron of the Sweet Snacks Café, sitting at a table with Sophisticata. In Good Vibes, she appears walking by the fountain at the Canterlot Mall and later appears at the top of an escalator at the mall with Velvet Sky.

Equestria Girls: Digital Series (season 1)[]

In Queen of Clubs, Golden Hazel appears as a member of the CHS art and wig clubs. In The Last Day of School, she appears attends her final class where she and her classmates watch Daring Do vs. the Swamp Monster. In the Rainbow Dash ending of Fluttershy's Butterflies, she appears in the audience for a soccer game between CHS and CPA. In the Sunset Shimmer ending of Text Support, she briefly appears walking by the Sweet Shoppe. In the Rarity ending of Driving Miss Shimmer, she makes a background appearance walking down a street. In All the World's Off Stage and Opening Night, she plays a coal miner in the CHS production of Dazzled. In Happily Ever After Party, she appears during the play's curtain call. In the Rainbow Dash ending, she watches the slideshow at the school play after party with Sophisticata, and also appears in one of the slides during a rehearsal. In the Rarity ending, she claps rhythmically while watching Mr. Cranky Doodle dance at the after party.

Equestria Girls: Forgotten Friendship[]

In Forgotten Friendship, Golden Hazel appears talking to Aqua Blossom near the CHS foyer during We've Come So Far before waving to Sandalwood and Micro Chips and walking into the foyer. After the school's memories are erased, she appears sitting in the cafeteria with Rose Heart, glaring at Sunset Shimmer. She later appears standing by the statue with other students holding yearbooks near the end of the special.

Equestria Girls: Rollercoaster of Friendship[]

In Rollercoaster of Friendship, Golden Hazel makes several background appearances as a patron of Equestria Land, often accompanied by Sandalwood. They appear riding the roller coaster, standing near the park's entrance, sitting at a stand for a game, standing in front of a ball-throwing game and later in front of a nearby slingshot game where they get surprised by Sunset Shimmer's ourburst. She later appears by herself attending the park's light parade and spectating the fashion show during Photo Booth

Equestria Girls: Digital Series (season 2)[]

In Street Chic, Golden Hazel exits the Carousel Boutique with Velvet Sky holding coffee and noting Rarity display summer fashions in the fall. In Schedule Swap, she appears walking towards the school with Paisley and later appears in a physics class with her phone to her ear. In Twilight Under the Stars, she attends the Canterlot Celestial Society Members' Social in the Canterlot Planetarium where she and Heath Burns walk toward Rosette Nebula. She and Heath Burns later appear talking to each other. In Run to Break Free, she appears standing in a CHS hallway and later appears exiting the school with Sophisicata. In Five Lines You Need to Stand In, she appears in the security line to the Starswirled Music Festival. In Do It For the Ponygram!, she briefly appears in the school hall witnesssing Snips and Snails and later Principal Celestia doing a trick with a water bottle. In The Last Drop.^[specify] In all three endings of Sock It to Me, she appears in the audience for the CHS-CPA soccer game.

In Sunset's Backstage Pass, Golden Hazel first appears walking with Cherry Crash on the first day of the Starswirled Music Festival. In the first time loop of the first day of the festival, she appears walking with Valhallen near Puffed Pastry's churro stand. In the second time loop, she appears in the audience for PostCrush's concert. In the eighteenth loop, she appears in the audience for the Dazzlings' concert and later appears standing with Watermelody and Sophisticata during the next loop. In the final loop, she appears in the audience for PostCrush's with Sunset Shimmer and Pinkie Pie.

Equestria Girls: Holidays Unwrapped[]

In "Winter Break-In", Golden Hazel briefly appears in the the Canterlot Mall watching the Equestria Girls giving toys to the kids. In "Dashing Through the Mall", she makes a background cameo at the mall talking to Unnamed Girl #40. In "O Come, All Ye Squashful", she briefly appears in the CHS school hallway taking pictures of the Equestria Girls in their cornucopia costumes along with her fellow schoolmates.
