Wiz Kid

Wiz Kid is the placeholder name for a male human who is a background character in the My Little Pony Equestria Girls franchise. He is a techie student at Canterlot High School.

My Little Pony Equestria Girls[]

In Equestria Girls, Wiz Kid first appears texting on a phone during This Strange New World in a Canterlot High School hallway. He later appears sitting in the school cafeteria with the other techies and also appears sitting with them during the Cafeteria Song. He subsequently makes a background appearance walking by the gymnasium while wearing Wondercolts ears and tail. During Time to Come Together, he attempts to hang a floodlight on the stage. When he almost falls off the ladder he is on, he is saved from falling off by Curly Winds, who stabilizes the ladder. He later appears cheering with the other students when Principal Celestia announces that the Fall Formal will be held that evening, and attending the Fall Formal.

Equestria Girls: Rainbow Rocks[]

In Rainbow Rocks, Wiz Kid first appears carrying art supplies in the CHS hallway with Starlight and later appears working on a poster for the CHS Musical Showcase with Curly Winds. During Better Than Ever, he appears walking in the hallway with Starlight and also appears walking in the hallway and getting a pair of Wondercolt ears getting knocked off his head onto Curly Winds by a hacky sack, after which they share a laugh. During Battle of the Bands, he is present in the school cafeteria when the Dazzlings begin to hypnotize the students. He later appears as a member of a band with fellow techies Scribble Dee and Micro Chips during the party for the bands participating in the showcase. During the showcase's opening ceremony, he and Curly Winds glare at each other, and he makes several background appearances spectating the battle of the bands with Curly Winds and later with the other techies. During the film's climax, he and Curly Winds appear in the audience singing along after being freed from the Dazzlings' spell.

Rainbow Rocks animated shorts[]

In Music to My Ears, Wiz Kid briefly appears looking embarrassed while looking at his phone by his locker. In Pinkie on the One, he appears eating in the CHS cafeteria with the other techies. In Player Piano, he appears in the crowd of students blocking the school hallway. In Shake Your Tail!, he appears in the audience for the Rainbooms' concert. In Perfect Day for Fun, he makes several background appearances attending the Canterlot High carnival, riding on the ferris wheel with Velvet Sky and attending the Rainbooms' concert. At one point, he dances with Rose Heart. In the encore short My Past is Not Today, he appears in a flashback as one of the students ostracising Sunset Shimmer after the events of the first film.

Equestria Girls: Friendship Games[]

In Friendship Games, Wiz Kid first appears sitting in the CHS library with Curly Winds. They later appear attending the pep rally in the gym and walking in the school foyer. He later appears standing with other techies in the gym during the welcome party for Crystal Prep Academy students and using a computer in the library while listening to the PA announcement for the titular event. He later appears spectating the second event of the Games with Curly Winds and walking away the destroyed Wondercolt statue at the end of the film. during the film credits, he appears with Curly Winds in a photograph taken during the CPA welcome party making a concerned face with the Shadowbolts in the background.

Friendship Games animated shorts[]

In All's Fair in Love & Friendship Games, Wiz Kid stands outside the school with Curly Winds, holding a notepad and later appears looking at the list containing the roster for the Friendship Games. In Photo Finished, he attempts to shoot a basketball hoop, but when he does so, Photo Finish and her assistants suddenly turn it into an improptu photo shoot for the yearbook, putting a trampoline underneath him and throwing basketballs at him for him to make a slam dunk. When the session abruptly ends, they pull out the trampoline from under him, causing him to fall down on the court.

Equestria Girls: Dance Magic[]

In Dance Magic, Wiz Kid makes a background appearance talking to Curly Winds at the Canterlot Mall.

Equestria Girls: Mirror Magic[]

In Mirror Magic, Wiz Kid makes background appearances in the Canterlot Mall holding a shopping bag while standing with Curly Winds and later getting scared by a transformed Juniper Montage.

Equestria Girls: Summertime Shorts[]

In Raise This Roof, Wiz Kid appears with Curly Winds at the Fall Formal, dancing, watching the dance-off, and cheering for Scootaloo and Apple Bloom. In Steps of Pep, he appears spectating a soccer game between CHS and CPA with Curly Winds. He later appears by himself watching a chess game between Velvet Sky and Varsity Trim. When Velvet Sky wins, he and the other spectators carry her away. In The Art of Friendship, he attends an art class where he works on a clay sculpture with Velvet Sky. In Coinky-Dink World, he and Curly Winds appear as a patrons of the Sweet Snacks Café, sitting at a table with Lyra Heartstrings and Sweetie Drops. In Good Vibes, he makes a background appearance walking on the second story of the Canterlot Mall with Curly Winds.

Equestria Girls: Digital Series (season 1)[]

In School of Rock. Wiz Kid and Curly Winds appear attending a field trip to the Canterlot Natural History Museum. In A Fine Line, they appear lifting dumbbells while waiting in line for the video game store at the Canterlot Mall. In Queen of Clubs, he appears as a member of the art club and also appears with Curly Winds walking in the hall at the beginning of the short and later sitting at a table in the cafeteria at the end of the short. In Overpowered, he appears looking at his phone in the school foyer, in Fluttershy's memories seeing Fluttershy suddenly followed by several animals on the street, in Applejack's memories seeing her rip open a locker door, and talking to Sweet Leaves in the hallway. In Star Crossed, he and Curly Winds appear sitting in front of the Canterlot Planetarium. He later appears alone inside the platarium. In A Little Birdie Told Me, he attends a math class where he watches Fluttershy and Trixie match wits. In Super Squad Goals, he appears in Sunset Shimmer's comic book talking to Curly Winds outside the Canterlot Natural History Museum. In the Twilight Sparkle ending of Best Trends Forever, he appears wearing glasses and carrying Micro Chips with other students before dropping him when they hear about the cape fashion. In Fluttershy's Butterflies, he appears using a computer in the CHS library. In the Rainbow Dash ending, he spectates a soccer game between CHS and CPA. In the Sunset Shimmer ending of Text Support, he appears talking while sitting at a table at the Sweet Shoppe. In the Pinkie Pie ending of Stressed in Show, he makes a background appearance sitting at a table in the CHS cafeteria with Scribble Dee. In Opening Night and Happily Ever After Party, he appears in the audience for the CHS school play.

Equestria Girls: Forgotten Friendship[]

In Forgotten Friendship, Wiz Kid makes background appearance standing behind the school at the beginning of the special, laughing at a poster of Trixie in the school hallway with Sophisticata before walking away, looking at a library shelf with Rose Heart, and in a yearbook photo. During Invisible, he appears in a yearbook photo with Curly Winds, and also as a silhouette.

Equestria Girls: Rollercoaster of Friendship[]

In Rollercoaster of Friendship, Wiz Kid makes several background appearances with Curly Winds as patrons of Equestria Land, talking near the park's entrance, standing in front of a ball-throwing game, and spectating the park's light parade.

Equestria Girls: Digital Series (season 2)[]

In Best in Show: The Pre-Show, Wiz Kid and Curly Winds appear in the audience for the first Canterlot Pet Show. In Schedule Swap, he and Curly Winds appear sitting at a table in the school cafeteria with Velvet Sky. In FOMO, he appears walking in the school hallway with Teddy. In Run to Break Free, he appears writing in a book in the school hallway and later appears walking down a sidewalk with Curly Winds. In Five Lines You Need to Stand In, he appears laughing in the security line of the Starswirled Music Festival, before getting surprised by Pinkie Pie. In Find the Magic, he and Curly Winds appear in the audience for the Dazzlings concert at the Music Festival. In Let It Rain, they hold an umbrella during a rainstorm while watching Sunset Shimmer perform the titular song at the Festival. In The Last Drop, they appear in the audience for DJ Pon-3's concert at the Festival. In the Rarity ending of Lost and Pound, they appear standing near the festival food trucks and later appear sitting on a couch at the festival's lounge area. In the Snips ending of Accountibilibuddies, they appear in the audience for Dirk Thistleweed's concert. In Tip Toppings, he makes a background appearance as a patron of a frozen yogurt shop.

Equestria Girls: Spring Breakdown[]

In Spring Breakdown, Wiz Kid appears as a passenger aboard the Luxe Deluxe and first appears drinking from a coconut while lounging on a chair. He later appears with Curly Winds in the ship's store and being given flashlights from a crew member after the ship's power goes out. When the ship begins to sink, Curly Winds carries him to safety, and they are rescued with the other passengers and crew by the Equestria Girls in a lifeboat.

Equestria Girls: Sunset's Backstage Pass[]

In Sunset's Backstage Pass, Wiz Kid first appears sitting on a tree stump watching Curly Winds and Track Starr play with a hacky sack at the camping area the day before the first day of the Starswirled Music Festival. On the first day of the festival, he and Curly Winds appear in a security line to the festival, and they later appear together outside the neon garden. Wiz Kid later appears talking to an unnamed man near Puffed Pastry's churro cart. In subsequent timeloops of the first day of the festival, Wiz Kid and Curly Winds again appears in the security line, in the audience for PostCrush's concert, sitting together on a couch in the festival lounge area. During the 18th time loop, they appear walking together. In the 19th time loop, they appears in the audience after the Dazzlings' concert. During the 20th and final time loop, they appear getting churros together and in the audience for PostCrush's concert.

Equestria Girls: Holidays Unwrapped[]

In "Winter Break-In", Wiz Kid briefly appears in the background with Curly Winds at the Canterlot Mall. In "Dashing Through the Mall", he appears at the mall giving Curly Winds a hug after Curly gave him a holiday present.
